Fall 2012 Inspiration: Chloe

Chloe is known for its dreamy feminine styles, and the Fall 2012 collection embodied that mixed with classic sporty pieces. Pastels mingled with rich navy and burgundy, and feminine lace was balanced with menswear inspired tuxedo pants and trousers. There were plenty of cool-weather coats and jackets and A-line skirts that hit at the knee. The key to taking inspiration from this collection is to think of basic autumn staples like chunky knit sweaters or a plaid coat with colors and fabrics that have the freshness of spring (lightweight blouses, peach and lavender shades, floral motifs). Top off these garments with boxy ladylike bags and retro ankle strap heels.
